Dear reader, if you know you have a hidden unconfessed sin in your life, you better stop doing everything you are doing, go on your knees and ask for God’s forgiveness right now. Ask God to help you not commit that sin again and to cleanse you with the Blood of Jesus Christ. God will cleanse you because it is written that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Why it is so important to repent right now.
If you ask God for forgiveness and you repent now, you would have saved yourself from judgment to Hell. You do not know the exact time when you will pass away from this world. It may be the next hour, the next day, or next week.
It is better you leave this world a cleansed person than enter your grave with unconfessed and unforgiven sin. After death you will not be able to speak. You would have missed an opportunity to ask for forgiveness. You would have missed the opportunity to have eternal life in Heaven.
The rich man.
I believe that if the rich man mentioned in Jesus’s story of the begging Lazarus had turned around, realized his sins of selfishness and vanity, and asked for God’s forgiveness, he would also be living in Heaven with Abraham (Luke 16:19-31).

My Father in Heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I know I have been doing some things that have not been pleasing you. I have been … (mention to God your specific sins). I ask you to forgive me these sins. Cleanse me with the Blood of Jesus Christ and make me a new creation. Let your Holy Spirit dwell within me and help me live a holy life. In Jesus’s Name I pray.
