Dear reader, when you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, all the boasting about your possessions and human achievements stopped. You can only boast of your salvation in Jesus and your new creation made by our Father in Heaven.
Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ was so rich. Richer than any other human being on earth. But he lived a very simple life. He never boasted of being rich. He lived a life like that of his disciples. Jesus’s Dad, who is our Father in Heaven, is the source of all wealth in the heavens and earth.
All the silver and Gold on Earth belongs to Him, but Jesus never boasted of this fact. He always wanted to take a low profile. Jesus was so intelligent. More intelligent than any other human being on earth.
But he never boasted of his intelligence. Jesus was the most righteous person on earth. But he never boasted of his righteousness. Some persons wanted to call him a very good man, but he refused being called so reasoning that the only good person is our Father in Heaven.
How Satan boasts.
Look at how Satan boasts in the Bible. He boasts that all kingdoms on Earth belong to him (Mathew 4:8-9), In Ezekiel 28 he boasts of being a god, being wiser than Daniel, and being very beautiful.
Boasting generates hatred.
Boasting generates a spirit of hatred within some of the hearts listening to you. This hatred will destroy you.
Boasting comes before downfall.
Goliath boasted, not knowing he was about to die. Herman boasted, not knowing that soon he would be hanged. King Nebuchadnezzar boasted that he had accomplished so much on Earth, not knowing that he was about to turn into a wild being.
Sennacherib, King of Assyria boasted of his conquests and ridiculed God’s children. God sent an angel who annihilated all the fighting men and the commanders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. Sennacherib withdrew to his own land in disgrace.
Advice to Christians.
If you are a true Christian, do not boast of who you are, your possessions or achievements. I you do this, you will have peace in your heart.
Boasting is of Satan.
