Dear reader, not every Christian scares the devil’s kingdom. Here are the five types of Christians who do not scare Satan.
Christians who do not pray regulary.
The primary danger for a Christian who does not pray is spiritual weakness. This weakness leads to a breakdown in communion with God and an excessive reliance on self, at the expense of divine strength. It is impossible to combat Satan and his kingdom without the supernatural power that comes from God.
Christians who don’t fear sin.
First, sin erects a barrier in your daily walk and communion with God, even though your eternal standing in Christ remains secure. Second, sin drains your inner spiritual vitality, replacing the peace of the Holy Spirit with guilt, anxiety, and a hardening of the conscience. Third, sin hinders ministry and prayer. Persisting in sin impairs your effectiveness in prayer and worship, as well as in serving or encouraging other believers. Fourth, sin breeds spiritual hardening. Tolerating small compromises makes the heart resistant to God’s voice, potentially leading to a seared conscience and repeated disobedience.
Christians who don’t read the Bible regularly.
The Word of God written in the Bible is a major weapon for fighting Satan and his agents. The greatest danger for a Christian who does not read the Bible is finding themselves without a spiritual weapon to fight against Satan’s kingdom.
Christians who refuse to forgive.
For a Christian, refusing to forgive creates a spiritual barrier that hinders fellowship with God and damages one’s own faith. Second, our Lord Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:14-15 that withholding forgiveness from others can block or impede your own prayers from being heard by God. Third, Scripture warns that a persistent refusal to forgive others jeopardizes your own relational experience of God’s forgiveness.
Christians who don’t go to God’s house regularly.
When you do not go to church, you miss out on corporate worship and the preaching of the Word. You also lose the opportunity to bring your tithes and offerings into the house of the Lord. Consequently, your soul will be deprived of the spiritual nourishment and blessings intended for it.
