Church offerings that annoy God.
Dear reader, just as Jesus sat down in the church opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury, God is always doing the same, though people may not see him. (Mark 12:41). It is from these observations that the written Word of God says that there are some offerings that annoy God.
Gifts to the President.
I pray that one day God gives you an opportunity to visit the store room where gifts from your fellow citizens to your President are kept. These gifts will indicate to you how much honor people give your President.
You would be shocked by the market value of many of these gifts. Some gifts can fetch as much as one million dollars on the open market because of the precious materials they are made of.
Offerings to God.
After visiting your President’s gifts store room, I pray that you visit the security rooms of many churches where people’s offerings to God are kept.
You would be shocked by how contemptuous many Christians treat God. You will see mostly low value old coins and lowest denomination bank notes.
If any person tried to take these types of gifts to your President, the presidential security would chase that person away from the President’s presence.
What annoys God most is that if Christians honor their fellow human beings with such precious offerings, why do they treat him contemptuously with left-over old coins and lowest denomination bank notes?
“When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?” says the Lord Almighty.
“Now plead with God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?”—says the Lord Almighty. (Malachi 1:8-9)
Repent with valuable offerings.
God is calling upon all Christians to repent and start honoring him with valuable Church offerings proportionate to the blessings they have received from him. When they do this, they will call upon him and he will answer with a lot of blessings to their lives.
