Dear reader, just like you are – the Coronavirus is making me uneasy. I would have remained silent about this virus but I have read an interesting article from the U.S. Washington Post newspaper titled: Coronavirus mysteriously sparing kids. which has stirred my belief in the divine.
In this Washington Post article the authors say that “One of the few mercies of the spreading coronavirus is that it leaves young children virtually untouched”. The paper adds: “That means the new coronavirus is behaving very differently from other viruses, like seasonal influenza, which are usually especially dangerous for the very young and very old “,
In this blog post I try to relate God and the Coronavirus.
Involvement of God’s angels.
If it is true that the Coronavirus is sparing kids, then be sure that God‘s guardian angels are involved in their protection. In today’s world there are many accidents where kids are the sole survivors because they are protected by God’s angels. More light on this is found in what Jesus told us about kids. He said:
See that you do not despise or think less of one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven [are in the presence of and] continually look upon the face of My Father who is in heaven.
Mathew 18:10
Jesus was saying that unlike adults, most kids are so innocent before God that their guardian angels continually commute between them and God for their sake.
Add God’s protection to your life.
In addition to what health officials and scientists advise us, you can add God’s protection to your life by doing the following:
- Believe in God and the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ.
- Have faith in God’s promises in the Bible. In one of the promises God assures you that:
He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,
And under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.5 You will not be afraid of the terror of night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But danger will not come near you.
3. Always cover yourself and your household with the Blood of Jesus Christ.
4. Live a prayerful and repentant life. Your prayers will activate God’s Guardian angels who will protect you from diseases and other dangers.
You will live. You will survive the Coronavirus.
