Dear reader, I have good news for you from our Lord Jesus Christ. God has already reserved a magnificent home for you in heaven.
The Promise of Jesus Christ.
To begin with, our Lord Jesus Christ gave a comforting promise to you in John 14:2:
“I go to prepare a place for you”.
John 14:2
This statement shows that your home in heaven is not a vague idea. It is a real place designed by God. Jesus left earth to make a unique residence ready for you.
Your heavenly home was built by angels.
Secondly, earthly houses are made by human beings and they fade. On the contrary, heavenly dwellings are made by God’s angels and last forever. The Bible explains that you have an eternal home waiting for you that is not made by human hands. God’s love ensures that this reservation for you is secure. Every detail of this heavenly home reflects His love for you.
Look beyond your current struggles.
Above all, knowing that a heavenly home is reserved for you will bring peace to your daily life. You may face hard times on earth, but your true citizenship is in heaven. This eternal perspective will help you look past your current struggles. The promise of a prepared place turns fear into joyful expectation.
The ability to enter your heavenly home depends on you.
Finally, you need to know that your ability to occupy the heavenly home God has reserved depends on you. If you behave well in a way that pleases our Heavenly Father, you will occupy that home. But if you live a life that displeases the Holy Spirit, you may not enter that celetial home our Lord Jesus Christ has prepared for you.
