Dear reader, many Christians may not know what I am about to tell you. God is a very jealous person.

God loves you so much.

I do not know how to compare the love God has for you. He loves you so much that if any person touches you, it is as if that person is touching the apple or pupil of God’s own eyes (Zechariah 2:8).

God is called Jealous.

You may find difficulty believing this. One of God’s other names is called Jealous. You can confirm what I say by reading Exodus 34:14.

Comparison of God’s love for you.

I can compare God’s love for you with the love a man or woman has for his or her lover. God’s love for you actually goes beyond any love you may think of on earth. He loved you so much that he asked Jesus to leave his heavenly seat to come, died on the cross to save you from Hell.

Here is what makes God so envious of you.

Worshiping other gods.

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” Exodus 34:14

Worshiping idols.

“Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the Lord your God has forbidden. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.” Deuteronomy 4:23-24

Turning away from God.

When you turn away from God, you ignite his jealousy. He feels like a neglected lover. He starts burning with anger that may affect you and your grand-grand children. (Exodus 20:5).

How to prevent God’s jealousy.

You can deter God’s jealousy by repenting of your old ways and starting a new life of putting your faith and trust in him, his son Jesus Christ, and in the person of the Holy Spirit.
