Dear reader, God cares deeply about you. He loves you so much that He does not want you to perish in hell. That is why He warns you in one way or another, even if you do not necessarily perceive it.
God warned King Nebuchadnezzar.
In the Bible, there was a king named Nebuchadnezzar. He did not know God, but God loved him. God did not want King Nebuchadnezzar to perish in hell. God wanted this king to change his evil ways of oppressing people, administering injustice, neglecting widows, orphans, and refugees. He gave him a warning in a strange dream. This was not an ordinary dream, so King Nebuchadnezzar was very terrified.
After interpreting the dream, Daniel told this king what God wanted:
Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.
Daniel 4:27
Things God may warn you about.
As you walk with Jesus, God may warn you in one way or another about the following examples that may prevent you from inheriting the Kingdom of God:
-
An improper relationship.
-
Sins of sexual nature (sexual immorality).
-
Administering injustice.
-
Being unfair to another person.
-
An act of Jealousy.
-
An act of malice.
-
Taking a journey that may separate you from God.
-
Anything that may be leading you into the path to Hell.
Repent and change quickly.
Therefore, when you realize that God is warning you, the first thing you have to do is to repent. Second, you have to change your ways and start doing what pleases God. This is exactly what King Abimelek did. He had taken Abraham’s wife and wanted to sleep with her. But God could not allow him, and He warned Abimelek in a dream.
Abimelek was so scared by the dream that in the morning he repented before God and:
Then Abimelek brought sheep and cattle and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham, and he returned Sarah his wife to him.
Genesis 20:14
God is warning you, but you may not realize it.
