Dear reader, the purpose of this article is to show you the nature of our Heavenly Father. God warns you many times before his punishment occurs.

We are like little children before God.

To begin with, it is important to understand that we are like little children before our Heavenly Father. A child must be disciplined if we wish to ensure them a bright future.

Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.[a]

Proverbs 3:11-12

God will warn you through dreams.

First, God will warn you through dreams. You will receive divine dreams showing you that your actions are contrary to His will. Our Heavenly Father wants you to repent and follow His Word written in the Bible.

Warnings Through Everyday Circumstances

Secondly, our Heavenly Father will warn you through circumstantial events. For example, your car might be in a serious accident, but you barely survive. God does not want you to perish in hell, but rather to repent and follow the right path to heaven.

God might send you his messengers.

Finally, if you don’t change and persist in living in sin, out of his love for you, God might send you a messenger. Through this messenger, God will tell you that what you are doing is wrong and that you must repent so you don’t perish in hell.

God punished King David.

We can learn from King David as a good example. He sinned gravely against God by sleeping with a married woman and then murdering her husband (2 Samuel 11).

Despite God’s warnings through dreams and everyday circumstances, David continued to sleep with her. Finally, God sent the prophet Nathan to pronounce judgment and punishment upon him.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
