Dear reader, are you aware that there is a divine court that affects your life? God’s heavenly court meets daily to handle accusations against you.
Proof of the Existence of This Heavenly Court.
To begin, let’s find out if this heavenly court truly exists. The proof of its existence is found in chapters 1 and 2 of the Book of Job. If you read this book of the Bible, you will see how this divine court operates.
The divine court operates as a spiritual justice system: God the Father serves as the Judge, Jesus Christ is your Advocate, and Satan acts as the prosecutor, bringing daily accusations to win permission for trials. Daily prayer for forgiveness and protection silences these charges.
The Roles in the Divine Court.
The supreme authority of the courtroom is God our Father. He is the judge. He is perfectly righteous and must judge sin fairly. Your defense attorney in this court is our Lord Jesus Christ. When the accuser brings charges against you, Jesus pleads His own blood and righteousness on your behalf. The prosecuting attorney in this heavenly court is Satan. His name literally means “adversary.” He relentlessly searches for evidence of your mistakes to present before God. His ultimate aim is to win his case against you, securing permission from God to put you through severe trials and sift you, much like he did in the case of Job.
What happens when Satan wins his case against you?
If Satan succeeds in winning his case against you, as he did against Job, God will allow him to subject you to great trials. Consequently, you will see problems, difficulties, and temptations in your life. You will have to prove to God whether Satan’s accusations are true or false.
Your Daily Responsibilities.
Because Satan is constantly seeking a legal basis to bring you down, your active daily participation in the heavenly court is vital. You must take two essential actions every single day:
-
- Pray for Daily Forgiveness: When you harbor unconfessed sin, you give Satan a legal foothold in your life. By seeking God’s forgiveness daily, you ensure that the blood of Jesus continuously cleanses you, leaving the accuser with absolutely no basis or evidence to build a case against you.
- Ask for Protection from Temptation: Pray daily that God does not permit Satan to tempt you. Pray the Lord’s Prayer all the time. Acknowledging your human vulnerability and asking for divine guidance keeps you on the path of righteousness and out of the adversary’s reach.
By utilizing Jesus as your Advocate and remaining proactive in prayer and repentance, you ensure your case remains securely won.
