Dear reader, please read this article very carefully if you are a minister of God. It may help you learn some of God’s ways of disciplining his children on Earth.
Who is a minister of God?
A minister of God is a person whom God has called to serve him, in any way, to promote the expansion of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.
Why God punishes.
Our Father in Heaven is a farsighted person. He sees the future of any person before that future comes to pass. When any of his ministers falls into sin, God sees that person headed for Hell.
Our heavenly Father disciplines his ministers so that they don’t perish in eternal fire.
Warnings.
Before God punishes any sinning minister, he always warns that person many times in various ways. Most warnings come through dreams. This is exactly how he warned Abimelech.
God warned this man that the woman he was about to sleep with was married (Genesis 20:1-6). Abimelech feared God and Hell, so he left this married woman alone.
When King David got attracted to Bathsheba, God warned David several times in dreams to leave that woman alone. King David was so much in love that he did not pay attention to God’s warnings.
When King David started thinking of murdering Baththeba’s husband, God pleaded with David in dreams not to commit such a cruel sin. Again King David was blinded by love and he did not pay attention to God’s warnings. He went ahead and murdered Uriah the Hittite.
Things start getting wrong.
When a sinful minister of God refuses to pay attention to God’s warnings, then God’s discipline will start. Things will start going wrong in that minister’s life.
Accidents.
If the sinful minister refuses to repent and stop his sinful ways, then strange accidents may start in that minister’s life. Please note that not all accidents ministers are involved in are due to God’s discipline.
Your enemies will defeat you.
When a sinful minister refuses adhering to God’s warnings, then God will cause enemies to defeat that minister. Hear what the written word of God says:
I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.”
Leviticus 26:17
God will expose you.
If the sinful minister refuses to listen to all God’s warnings, then God will have no other option apart from exposing that minister to his followers, and the whole world.
This is exactly what God did with King David after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba. God told David:
You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.
2 Samuel 12:12
Death and Hell.
If a sinning minister refuses to listen to all God’s warnings and respond to all his discipline, then what follows is death. Usually this death happens so suddenly that the minister has no time to repent.
That minister goes straight to the hottest part of Hell.
