Dear reader, Jesus Christ is a very good shepherd  for the following reasons.

1. Jesus has a lot of mercy and compassion.

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

  Mark 6:34

2. Jesus gives life to his followers.

Then Jesus declared,

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty”.

            John 6:35

3. Jesus Christ gives peace to his followers.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

   John 14:27

4. Jesus gives his followers eternal life.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a];

no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.

John 10:28-30

5. Jesus leads his followers into righteousness.

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[b] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—  he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.                                                                                                                                                               Romans 3:21-26

6. Jesus sets all captives free.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19     to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.[a]

                                                               Luke 4:18-19

7. Jesus reconciles all his followers with Heavenly Father.

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Romans 5:9-11

Jesus Christ is a very good shepherd.
