Dear reader, God’s word in the Bible encourages us to set our hearts on heavenly things. One day, I fixed my mind on the throne of God, and a shock of fire struck me!

What the Bible says.

To begin with, listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Colossians 3:1-2

How I focused my mind on the throne of God in heaven.

It was during a Sunday church service and I was somehow bored by what the preacher was saying. Therefore, I opted to focus my mind on heavenly things. Since Habakkuk 3:4 describes God’s radiance as being like sunlight. I imagined myself prostrating myself before a brilliant sun in heaven. As the church service continued, I could no longer hear what the preacher was saying. Next, the church congregation around me disappeared, and I found myself immersed before God’s presence in heaven.

A supernatural energy coming from the presence of God struck me!

As I worshipped God in my heart, something supernatural occurred. A powerful supernatural force struck me with such intensity that I nearly fell from my seat. In fact, I even thought an earthquake had shaken the church building. I found myself in the same situation as Saul in Acts 9:3–4, when suddenly a brilliant light from heaven shone around him and he fell to the ground!

Conclusion.

My wife, who was sitting beside me, asked if I was all right. I did not tell her about my heavenly experience, yet she must have sensed the fire of God radiating from my words. Through this experience, I came to understand that heaven is real. Indeed, it is better to set one’s heart on heavenly things than on earthly matters.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
