Dear reader, holding on to anger will give rise to many problems in your life. Refusing to forgive will deprive you of your heavenly blessings.

Refusing to forgive has severe consequences.

To begin with, the act of forgiveness is a profound spiritual mandate with eternal consequences. Refusing to forgive others builds a spiritual barrier that severely impacts your relationship with our Heavenly Father. When you harbor bitterness and hold onto offenses, you actively deprive yourself of heavenly blessings, you open the door to demonic oppression, and you block the very forgiveness you require from God.

You block your heavenly blessings.

Next, holding a grudge acts as a blockade to the blessings of heaven. God desires to pour out His riches, favor, peace, and joy upon your life, but these heavenly blessings require an open, clean vessel. A heart clogged with anger, resentment and unforgiveness leaves no room for God’s angels of prosperity to act in your life. In fact, spiritual stagnation follows an unforgiving spirit. Prayers go unanswered, and the spiritual fruit of patience, love, and joy is choked out by the weeds of malice. By clinging to past hurts, you exchange the boundless favor of God for the heavy, exhausting weight of anger.

You open the door for demons to attack you.

Furthermore, unforgiveness creates a dangerous vulnerability in the spiritual realm. According to biblical teachings, harboring anger gives a foothold to Satan and demons.  When you refuse to let go of an offense, you legally grant the demons access to your emotional and spiritual well-being. This open door allows demonic forces to torment you with anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, sickness, poverty, and fractured relationships.

Our Heavenly Father will not forgive you.

Ultimately, the most sobering consequence of unforgiveness is the direct impact it has on your own salvation and standing before God. Jesus made the spiritual law unmistakably clear in the Lord’s Prayer and in Matthew 6:15, stating, “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Forgiving closes the door to demons.

In conclusion, forgiveness is a protective shield and a key to divine favor. Choosing to forgive others is an act of trust in God’s justice. By letting go, you close the door to demonic affliction, position yourself to receive heavenly blessings, and ensure that your own sins remain washed away by the grace of God.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
