Dear reader, many Christians suffer because of sins present in their lineage. Repenting for the sins in your lineage blocks demonic attacks.
Some of our parents and ancestors committed terrible sins.
To begin with, it is important to understand that many Christians suffer not because of their own sins, but rather because of sins committed by their parents or ancestors. The most dangerous sins for any Christian are murder, witchcraft, idolatry, rebellion against God, and serious cases of sexual immorality.
The sins of your parents or ancestors open doors for demons to attack you.
Secondly, you must understand that the sins of your parents and ancestors always open doors for demons to attack you. In other words, sins within your bloodline give demons and witches a legal right to attack you. In fact, before launching an attack, some witches examine your lineage to see if there is any sin they can use as a legal entry point. This is why some believers pray, pay tithes, and live righteous lives, yet remain held captive by strongholds.
Repenting for the sins in your lineage shuts legal doorways.
Therefore, when you repent for the murder, idolatry, witchcraft, sexual immorality, and rebellion within your lineage, you close the doors demons were using to attack you. This is exactly what Daniel did to restore the glory of Jestusalem. Listen to how Daniel repented:
Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us.
Daniel 9:16
As Daniel spoke and prayed, confessing the sins of his ancestors, an angel descended from heaven to comfort him. This proves that when we repent of the sins of our parents and ancestors, God hears us and the blood of Jesus covers those sins. Consequently, demons and sorcerers can no longer use those sins to attack you.
