Dear reader, you may find it hard to believe, but it is true. Satan keeps a list of people you have refused to forgive.
Unforgiveness has legal implications.
First, unforgiveness is more than an emotional burden; it is a legal document that empowers the enemy. The Bible reveals that Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He operates as a prosecuting attorney in the heavenly court (Revelation 12:10).
Therefore, he maintains a precise record of every person you refuse to forgive, every grudge you hold, and every bitterness you cherish.
Satan presesnts this list to God.
At the appropriate time, Satan presents this list to God to secure permission for an attack, as seen in Job 1:6–12. Because God is just, He respects spiritual laws. When we hold onto unforgiveness, we violate the commandment to forgive, as God has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32).
Matthew 6:14–15 warns that if we do not forgive others, our Heavenly Father will not forgive our own trespasses.
Refusal to forgive creates a legal openeing for Satan.
This refusal to release others creates a foothold or legal opening for the enemy. When Satan presents this evidence, God allows the accuser to subject you to increased spiritual oppression, temptations, and trials.
You have authorized that territory to be controlled by bitterness rather than grace.
Refusing to forgive gives demons a green light.
Therefore, refusing to forgive is akin to giving demons a green light to torment your mind and life. The solution is immediate repentance and forgiveness.
Forgiving sets you free.
When you forgive, you destroy Satan’s evidence, close the legal door, and remove his permission to harass you. Choose to forgive, not just for the other person’s sake, but to protect your own heart and freedom.
