Dear reader, many people are wondering how they can experience God more. Here are seven things that will bring you much closer to God.

Align your heart with God.

First, drawing closer to God is a lifelong journey of deepening intimacy with the Creator, requiring intentional habits rather than mere routine. While God is always present, we often need to take steps to align our hearts with His. Here are seven transformative practices that bring a person closer to God.

Reading the Bible.

Scripture is the inspired Word of God. Consistent, thoughtful study allows you to know His character, promises, and purpose, effectively hearing His voice.

Praying.

Prayer is a direct, open line of communication—a “lifeline” to God. It is sharing burdens and gratitude, which builds a relationship and reveals His presence throughout the day.

Attending Church.

Gathering with fellow believers in a church community provides support, accountability, and the opportunity to grow spiritually alongside others, escaping the isolation of modern life.

Worshipping God.

Worship is a surrender of the heart, extending far beyond music. It is a posture of gratitude and recognition of God’s supreme worth, which aligns your heart with His.

Fasting.

By temporarily abstaining from necessities like food, you intensify your focus and dependence on God through prayer, helping to detoxify the soul and align your desires with His will.

Practicing Holiness.

Pursuing holiness means living in a way that pleases God, avoiding habits that cause distance, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform your behavior, thoughts, and actions to align with His divine nature.

Repentance.

Sincere repentance involves acknowledging and turning away from sins, which cleanses the conscience and removes barriers, allowing you to walk freely in God’s presence.

These seven spiritual habits serve as practical tools to nurture a profound relationship with the Lord, helping you to remain near Him amidst the busyness of life.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
