Dear reader, God is warning you to take your Christianity seriously because sin will burn your life.

Sin burnt Samson’s life.

Samson was greatly anointed  but he did not take his relationship with God seriously. He was daily playing with sin until it burnt both his eyes, and his entire life.

Sin seriously burnt King David.

King David played with sin by killing Uriah and taking his wife. This sin seriously burnt him when God judged him as follows:

I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.

 2 samuel 12:8-10

Sin is still burning Judas Iscariot.

Judas Iscariot had a lot of greed for money and a great desire to acquire wealth by betraying others. Sin burnt his life and it is still burning him in Hell.

Stop playing with sin.

God is warning you to stop playing with sin by doing the following:

  1. Always keep your thoughts pure.

  2. Avoid any form of sexual immorality.

  3. Be honest with others and God in whatever you do.

  4. Avoid keeping hatred on your heart.

  5. Avoid anger in all circumstances.

  6. Live a life of continually forgiving those who have wronged you.

  7. Focus mainly on heavenly rewards instead of fighting for earthly possessions.

  8. Live a life of repentance before God.

  9. Daily read God’s Word in the Bible and do what it tells you to do.
