Dear reader, if you are a Christian, there are certain recognitions that you should never accept because heaven will not reward you. Here are six earthly recognitions that a Christian should never accept.
1. Recognition for helping the needy.
First, if you are a Christian and God is using you to help someone in need, never accept any earthly recognition for your generosity.
If you accept such recognition, then heaven will not reward you for the same.
Listen to what our Lord Jesus Christ said about this:
Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
2. Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Second, if you accept recognition from the world for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, you will find no reward in heaven.
When you reach heaven, the angels of God will look at you empty-handed saying:
You have already received your reward on earth.
3. Recognition for a church donation.
Third, heaven will never reward you if you donated to the church and people recognized you in some way.
When you reach heaven, the angels of God will look at you empty-handed saying:
You have already received your reward on earth.
4. Saving lives.
Additionally, if you are a Christian and God uses you to save another person’s life, do not accept any recognition for such an act.
If you accept such recognition, heaven will never reward you.
5. Any song inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Furthermore, if the Holy Spirit inspires you to write and sing an anointed song, accept no earthly recognition for such a song.
If you do, heaven will never reward you.
6. Recognition for being a prayer warrior.
Sixth, never accept any earthly recognition if God uses you to intercede or pray for someone. If you do, heaven will never reward you.
