Something will happen with your travel preparations.
If God does not want you to travel, he will send his angel to interrupt your travel preparations. For example, you may find it difficult to make travel reservations.
The Holy Spirit will speak to you.
In the event that Heavenly Father does not approve of your trip, he will ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about it. You will feel something in your heart that prevents you from traveling.
This is exactly what happened to Balaam when he wanted to travel to the plains of Moab along the Jordan, opposite Jericho. The Holy Spirit stopped Balaam on his journey and in the morning Balaam said:
The next morning Balaam got up and said to Balak’s officials,
“Go back to your own country,
for the Lord has refused to let me go with you.”

God can send someone to warn you.
Heavenly Father can actually send someone to stop you from travelling.
But Moses said,
“Why are you disobeying the Lord’s command?
This will not succeed!
Numbers 14:41
Something will happen to your means of transportation.
In case God does not approve of your trip, he will order his angel to do something that will disrupt your transportation. This is exactly what happened to Balaam in Numbers 22:21-39.
Something will delay you at home.
If God is against your trip, he will do whatever it takes to delay you home. For example, you may not be able to find your car keys.
God can cause strange events.
God can prevent your trip by causing strange supernatural events. For example, a storm may come out of nowhere and prevent you from traveling.
