Dear reader, what do you do after a dream in which someone stabbed you in the chest? I believe you would suddenly wake up, sit in your bed, with thousands of thoughts of worry in your mind.
This is exactly what happened to me. I was stabbed in the chest in a dream, and I want you to see what happened the next day. What happened was so related to that dream.
The dream.
In this dream, someone stabbed me deep in the left hand side of my chest, close to the position of my heart. I suddenly woke up feeling real sharp pain in the exact position where I was ‘stabbed‘ in the dream.
I failed to pray.
This dream came to me when I was still immature in spiritual matters. Instead of praying, I just sat on my bed and hundreds of questions started running in my mind.
“Will someone stab me tomorrow?” I asked myself.
These questions continued until I went back to sleep.
God wanted me to pray.
Heavenly Father brought to me this dream at exactly midnight. Our Father in Heaven saw the danger that was coming in the next two hours and he woke me up using this dream.
God wanted me to pray so that this danger is prevented. Unfortunately I did not pray. I was still young in spiritual matters. I went back to bed without doing what God wanted.
This is what happened the next day.
In the morning, when I arrived my workplace, I was given some sad news. One of our security guards had been murdered during the night. I quickly went to the staff residence where this man had been guarding.
The corpse was still in the security room where this guard was attacked. I was shocked when I looked at the dead body. This man was stabbed in the left hand side of the chest, the exact position where I was stabbed in the dream!
I asked our staff member who resided in the nearby house: “What time was this man stabbed?”
“It was about 2:30 am last night” he responded.
When the time of attack was mentioned, I realized that it was exactly two and half hours after God had given me the terrifying dream.
I asked Father in Heaven to forgive me.
As I watched the corpse of our guard, I asked Father in Heaven to forgive me. I pleaded with God not to count the dead man’s blood on my hands. God had woken me up to pray so that this disaster is prevented, but I failed to pray.
The lesson from this experience.
When you get a dream in which someone is harming your life, that dream may actually not be about your real life. This dream may mean that the life of another person may soon be in serious danger. God is giving you that dream so that you quickly wake up, pray, and prevent that danger from the life of that other person.
