There is total darkness in Hell. The only small light you can see is the flickering caused by the red flames of fire. The darkness in Hell can only be compared with that which appeared in Egypt as described in the Book of Exodus.
“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, so that [a]darkness may come over the land of Egypt, a darkness which [is so awful that it] may be felt.” Exodus 10:21
Billions of souls in Hell will never see again the light that you see now.
The light of Jesus Christ.
If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you must even be more appreciative. You are so lucky you have seen the spiritual light that shines in darkness. Go on your knees and thank God for a second time. You have seen the light of Jesus yet billions of people in the world are living in the spiritual darkness of Satan.
“In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines on in the [a]darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].” John 1:4-5
