Dear reader, God speaks to me a lot through dreams but I have seen one danger that may concern all God’s people. In this article I will show you what this danger is.
God speaks through dreams.
The Bible shows us that our Father in Heaven communicates through dreams with a lot with people on earth.
Prominent examples include Abimalek (Genesis 20:3), Jacob’s stairway dream ( Genesis 28:12), Joseph’s dreams (Genesis chapter 37), Solomon’s dream (1 Kings 3:5), Nebuchadnezzar’s dreams (Daniel chapter 2), and Joseph’s (husband of Mary) dreams in Mathew chapter 2.
Satan hates your relationship with God.
The devil and demons keep on noticing God’s communication with you through dreams. They will do anything to interrupt that divine communication.
The devil can go to the extent of masquerading as God speaking to you in a dream (see 2 Corinthians 11:14). If you are not careful, and if you are not good at discernment, such a dream may create a lot of confusion in your life.
Satan may want you to hate other people.
When the devil realizes that you depend so much on dreams for guidance, he will bring dreams of confusion and hatred.
For example, if you are a married person, Satan may bring you a deceptive dream showing that your spouse is cheating on you.
You wake up thinking that God is showing you the truth, yet it was the devil deceiving you.
How to Overcome Satan’s Deceptive Dreams.
There are two ways to overcome Satan’s deceptive dreams.
First, you can ask God to give you a sign of confirmation. If it was a divine dream, God our Father will give another sign to confirm it.
An example of such a confirmation request came from Manoah (see Judges 13:8), and God actually granted Manoah his wish.
The angel of God who had earlier appeared to Manoah’s wife returned to confirm that the message this angel was carrying was indeed from Heavenly Father.
Second, God has a unique way of communicating in dreams with each person on earth. You need to learn the unique way God communicates in dreams with you.
When you master the dream language of God, it becomes difficult for the devil to deceive you.
The danger of relying on dreams for direction.
