Dear reader, are you still perplexed by what happened on October 7, 2023? There is another day that the whole world will never forget. It is the day 10,000 of God’s people were kidnapped in Judea, Israel.

What was this day?

More specifically, the day this article is talking about is March 16, 597. On this day Nebuchadnezzar II, king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire carried out a military campaign that besieged Jerusalem. Eventually, he totally besieged Jerusalem, then capital of the Kingdom of Judah. Consequently, the city surrendered, with king Jeconiah of Judah kidnapped and taken to Babylon.

Both the Hebrew Bible (2 Kings 24:10–16) and the Babylonian Nebuchadnezzar Chronicle recorded this siege.

To illustrate what happened on this event, listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says about this day in 2 Kings 24:10-12:

At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it, 11 and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it. 12 Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him.

All the cash and precious items were stolen from Jerusalem.

Additionally, the invaders stole from Jerusalem everything they considered valuable. Furthermore, the Babylonian invaders broke into every home, taking away all the money and precious items of the Jewish people.

So, without fear of God our Father, they broke into the churches and the temple of God stealing all the precious objects.

To understand this situation, listen to what the written word of God says in 2 Kings 24:13:

As the Lord had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the Lord.

10,000 Jewish people were kidnapped on that day.

Apart from the precious articles, the Babylonian invading force kidnapped 10,000 Jewish people. Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says in 2 Kings 24:14-16:

He [Nebuchadnezzar] carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans—a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

15 Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother, his wives, his officials and the prominent people of the land. 16 The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand skilled workers and artisans.

God remembered the Jewish people who were in captivity.

Thousands of Jewish people including the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, returned to Jerusalem.

As indicated in  Ezra 1:1-7 the Lord, the God of heaven and earth remembered the Jewish people and he appointed Cyrus, king of Babylon to set the Jewish captives free.

Thousands of Jewish people including the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites returned to Jerusalem.

Interestingly, all their non-Jewish neighbors assisted them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with valuable gifts.

God will remember all the Isralites that were kidnapped on 7 October 2023.

Soon there will be a celebration throughout Israel for the freed captives.

Likewise, just as our Heavenly Father remembered the Jewish captives who were in Babylon,  He will also remember all the Israelites who were kidnapped on October 7, 2023.

Therefore, all we need to do is pray day and night for God to remember all the Jewish people who are still in captivity.

The day 10,000 of God’s people were kidnapped in Judea, Israel.

Prayer that blocks Satan.
