Dear reader, when you become a believer in Jesus Christ, you become a tartget of Satan’s kingdom. The Lord forced me out of bed to pray!
God woke me up to pray, but I refused to get out of bed.
I remember one night when I woke up abruptly. I looked at the clock, and it was midnight. From the time, I knew it was our Lord who had woken me up, because He always wanted me to pray at midnight. However, this time I refused to get up because I felt too tired and sleepy.
The angel of God took the blanket and sheet from me.
As I fell back asleep, I felt someone’s presence in my room. Suddenly, I felt the blanket and sheet being violently pulled away from me. My body was completely exposed. At first, I thought burglars had broken into my room. However, there was no one there. I concluded that God had sent an angel to wake me up. So I quickly got up, dressed, and prayed against the kingdom of Satan.
Why Does God Call You to Pray at Night?
When you choose salvation in Jesus Christ, you embark on a lifelong spiritual battle. God knows the enemy will rise up against you, but He never leaves you defenseless. One of your most powerful weapons to overcome this opposition is prayer. Without it, the kingdom of darkness can easily overwhelm you. That is why God constantly calls His people to pray, but many do not heed the call.
Here are two signs that God is calling you to prayer.
First, if you wake up and realize that it is the top of the hour, be certain that it is your Heavenly Father who has awakened you. Second, if you wake up immediately after a bad dream or nightmare, know that it is God who has awakened you to pray and overcome the power of Satan.
