Dear reader, not all sins are the same before the eyes of our Heavenly Father. For some sins God may not easily accept a simple apology. This article presents to you some of these sins. These six sins cannot be removed by just saying sorry.
1. Hurting your parents.
When you sin against your parents, our Heavenly Father is not satisfied that you simply say you are sorry. God is happier if you buy a valuable gift, take it to your offended parents and then apologize to them.
You will be greatly blessed if you follow this advice.
2. Offending a true servant of God.
You are in big trouble if you offend a true servant of God. Therefore, our Heavenly Father may not readily accept a verbal apology. It is better to give the offended servant of God a gift to please him. This is exactly what King Abimelech did when he offended Abraham.
Listen to what King Abimelech did in Genesis 20:14-15:
Then Abimelek brought sheep and cattle and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham, and he returned Sarah his wife to him. 15 And Abimelek said, “My land is before you; live wherever you like.”
3. Hurting an orphan.
Our Heavenly Father is always defending the cause and the rights of orphans. Therefore God may not readily accept your apologies if you hurt the feelings of an orphan. It is better you buy a suitable gift for the offended orphan, and then apologize.
4. Offending a widow.
God will bless anyone who blesses a widow. Similarly, our Heavenly Father will curse any person who mistreats a widow. Therefore, heaven may not accept your apologies until you buy a good gift to the offended widow.
5. Annoying your in-laws.
Simple apologies may not work after offending your in-laws. God will easily forgive you if your repentance comes with a gift.
6. Offending your spouse.
Offending your spouse, especially the wife, is a great sin against God. Heaven may never accept your apologies and prayers (1 Peter 3:7) until you buy the offended spouse a beautiful gift.
