Dear reader, the Bible says that Moses, the Lord’s servant, died there in Moab, just as the Lord had said. The Lord buried him in a valley near the town of Beth-Peor, but even today no one knows exactly where (Deuteronomy 34:5-7).
In this article I show you the exact place and who buried Moses.
Our Father in Heaven was worried about the body and grave of Moses.
After the children of Israel were delivered out of Egypt, many lost their faith before they even reached the promised land. Some started worshipping idols as indicated in Exodus 32:1-4.
God was much worried that after Moses’ death, the same people could start worshipping the body and grave of Moses.
Because these people made and worshipped an idol, cast in the shape of a calf,
the same people may start worshipping the dead body of Moses saying,
‘This is our god, who brought us out of Egypt.
said our Father in Heaven.
God decided that Moses would be buried secretly.
With all the concern about the unfaithful Israelites, God decided that Moses would be buried by angels, not by human beings.
Secondly, Moses was to be buried in a secret place that would never be seen by human beings.
This is exactly where, and how Moses was buried.
The secret place God’s angels found was an obscure cave near Beth-Peor. They carried the body of Moses into this secret cave.
God’s angels did not want to bury Moses’ body near the entrance of the cave, so they carried it and buried to the darkest end inside this cave.
How God’s angels closed this cave.
After the secret burial of Moses, they came out of this cave and near its entrance they saw some hard rocks. They touched on these rocks which then rumbled from above and closed the entrance. Up to the present day, no human being ever saw this burial place of Moses.
Moses’ grave can be identified.
No human being can identify Moses’ grave today, but God‘s angels can. They can visit and pinpoint the exact place where they placed Moses’ body.
