Dear reader, the devil hates our Heavenly Father and is always looking for ways to humiliate God in any way. Related to this matter, all other sins are outside the human body, but this sin will completely defile God’s image within you.
Your face reflects the image of God.
First, we need to know that if Heavenly Father provided you with a heavenly mirror, you would not see your earthly reflection in that mirror. Instead, you will see the true reflection of God our Father who sits in heaven.
Therefore, to confirm this truth, listen to what God’s written word tells us in Genesis 1:27:
So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Sexual immorality severely defiles God’s image in you.
The most common way that Satan can seriously desecrate the image of God in you is through sexual immorality. This sin is so serious because it affects your body, where God our Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit sit.
Sins falling into this category include fornication, pornography, adultery, masturbation, orgies, anal sex, oral sex, incest, sexual lust, prostitution, sex with toys, rape, homosexuality, lesbianism, and sex with animals.
Therefore, stay away from all forms of sexual immorality to avoid contamination of the image of God in you.
In regard to this matter, listen to what our Heavenly Father is telling us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20:
Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? 20 You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.
This sin will seriously defile God’s image in you.
