Dear reader, a Christian is in grave danger if he knows that God has called him into ministry but he is refusing to serve.
In this article I show you a Bible verse that Father in Heaven has already put in place for any Christian that refuses to serve him.
God will first give warnings to a Christian.
Before our Father in heaven renders this judgement, he will first warn the rebellious Christian in the following ways.
Warning through God’s own voice.
God can warn a Christian through God’s own voice. Father in heaven speaks to people but many do not listen to his guidance and counsel (see Job 33:14).
God’s warning through dreams.
Many times God speaks to the rebellious Christian in dreams reminding him about the divine call, and the consequences of refusing to serve.
Warnings through God’s messengers.
Jesus Christ can talk to a rebellious Christian through his messengers, especially the prophets, persuading that Christian to go and fulfill the divine commission.
Warning through troubles.
If a Christian refuses to serve, God can send many troubles into his life. These troubles can only go away if that Christian accepts the divine commission and starts to serve God. This is exactly what happened in the case of Jonah.
Warning through sickness.
God can warn a rebellious Christian through sickness. Because of God’s judgement, sometimes medical doctors may fail to diagnose the real cause of this sickness.
God’s warning through a Bible verse.
Many times the Holy Spirit warns rebellious Christians through God’s written word in the Bible. As that Christian reads the Bible, the Holy Spirit may highlight a particular verse for his a attention.
Unfortunately many Christians do not pay attention to the Bible verse God has highlighted. This causes many to perish into Hell.
Here is the Bible verse.
The Bible verse our Father in Heaven uses to judge Christians who refuse to serve him is found in the book of Isaiah 1:19-20.
Listen to the warning of this verse:
“If you are willing and obedient,
you will eat the good things of the land;
20 but if you resist and rebel,
you will be devoured by the sword.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
This verse judges a Christian who refuses serving God.
