Dear reader, you may find it hard to believe what I am about to tell you, but it is the truth. The prayer of a child praying in Jesus’s Name is more powerful than that of an adult because of the reasons I will give you.
Our Father in Heaven will respond faster to a prayer made by a child.
Most children are sinless.
Unlike adults, most children are holy because their lives are untainted by sin. For this reason our Father in Heaven is more likely to hear and answer the prayer of a child than an adult’s.
Hear what God says about the prayers of many sinful adults:
When you spread out your hands in prayer,
I hide my eyes from you;
even when you offer many prayers,
I am not listening.
Isaiah 1:15
The angels of the children are always before God.
Because most children are sinless, their angels send their prayers direct to our Father in Heaven. Listen to what Jesus Christ said about this fact:
“See that you do not despise
or think less of one of these little ones,
for I say to you that their angels in heaven
[are in the presence of and]
continually look upon the face of My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 18:10
Satan is less likely to fight a child’s prayer.
Because of sin, demons in heavenly places can easily fight the prayers of adults, as well as the answers from God to these prayers.
Most children don’t have the burden of sin, therefore their prayers can easily break through Satan’s celestial barricades.
Children have more faith in God.
Unlike adults, most children are not worried about tomorrow because they know that their Father in Heaven will provide. For this reason God promptly answers their prayers.
Many adults do not have faith in God and for this reason God may be slow to answer their prayers.
God will punish those who abuse children.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has already made a judgement for those who abuse children, and cause them to loose their faith in God.
Listen to what Jesus said:
If anyone causes one of these little ones
—those who believe in me—to stumble,
it would be better for them to have a large millstone
hung around their neck
and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
The cry and tears of a child go direct to God’s throne room.
You might find difficulty believing this, but it is the truth. Unlike an adult, the cry and tears of a child go direct to God’s throne room in Heaven.
This is exactly what happened to Abraham’s first son when he was dying of thirst in the desert. The crying and tears of this child went straight to God in Heaven.
God heard the cries of this child echo in his throne room and he miraculously provided water in the desert for this boy to drink ( see Genesis 21:17-19).
Why a child’s prayer is so powerful.
