To begin with, many years ago, the Lord revealed to me how the heavenly court operates. The message God gave me is found on this website. In fact, God showed me how Satan uses this court to accuse Christians before God. The Devil uses this court to gain permission to subject Christians to terrible trials. Unfortunately, some Christians oppose the fact that Satan appears before God in the heavenly court. Despite the biblical evidence provided in Job 1:6 and Job 2:1, some Christians feel that our Heavenly Father is too holy for Satan to approach.
Where is the heavenly court mentioned in the Bible?
In fact, the heavenly court is mentioned several times in Scripture. The most striking examples are found in the book of Job, chapter 1, chapter 2, and in the book of Zechariah, chapter 3. In these three passages, Satan presents himself before God in heaven and even talks to him directly!
Why is the heavenly court so important to a Christian?
Indeed, the heavenly court is important to all Christians because it is there that Satan obtains God’s permission to come to earth and tempt them. By reading the book of Job, chapters 1 and 2, you will see that before attacking Job, Satan first went to the heavenly court to obtain God’s permission.
How can a Christian use the Heavenly court to overcome Satan?
In fact, you can always use the heavenly court to present your argument against Satan. First, you must always ask God to forgive you your sins as you forgive others. When your sins are forgiven, Satan will find it difficult to accuse you before God. Second, you must always ask God not to permit Satan to tempt you. Our Lord Jesus Christ summarised these two requests in Luke 11:4 as follows:
Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.[a]
And lead us not into temptation.[b]’”
