Switch on your light.

Dear reader, when you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you became a light to shine in the darkness all around you.

The world is in darkness.

You may see sunshine during day and artificial lights at night, but in reality the world is in spiritual darkness.

Even during daylight, most people move in total darkness that surround their lives.

Sunshine cannot take away the darkness hovering over the earth and in people’s hearts.

Jesus Christ came to take away the darkness.

Jesus Christ is life, and that life is the light to all mankind.  This light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not and will never overcome[a] it.

Jesus is the true light that gives light to everyone coming into the world. (John 1:1-10).

Unfortunately many people on earth walk in darkness because they have not accepted Jesus in their hearts.

You have become a light.

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you become a light yourself. A light that drives away darkness everywhere you go.

As a light, you are supposed to bring righteousness, holiness, faith in God and all attributes of God’s Kingdom wherever you go.

Satan hates light.

Because Satan hates light, he will fight to see that he extinguishes the light of Jesus within you.

The Devil’s aim is to see that you do not talk about Jesus and to make you sin against God.

When these two things happen, then your light will slowly become dim until it is switched off.

Switch on your light.

Do not allow the devil to switch off your light. Hate sin in all its forms.  Keep your light always switched on by walking in righteousness, regularly reading the written Word of God, living a life of prayer, witnessing to others, and becoming an ambassador of Jesus Christ wherever you are.

Prayer that blocks Satan.
