Dear reader, you must be careful about what you allow into your imagination. Every thought that crosses your mind appears on the screen of Heaven.
From His screen in heaven, God watches all your thoughts.
To begin with, God knows and watches every human thought from heaven. God’s written word in the Bible shows that nothing is hidden from our Heavenly Father. In fact, God sees and understands our deepest thoughts and intentions even before we speak or act.
Listen to what God says:
You perceive my thoughts from afar.
Psalm 139:2
God is angered by every evil thought that crosses your mind.
Second, our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are all angered by every evil thought that crosses your mind. Listen to what our Lord Jesus Christ once asked of the teachers of the law in Israel who harbored evil thoughts:
4 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?
Matthew 9:4
Satan and demons always plant evil thoughts in your mind.
Furthermore, in waging the battle against evil thoughts, you must understand one fact: these evil thoughts don’t arise on their own. They are planted in your mind by the agents of Satan’s kingdom. This is precisely what they did to Eve in the Garden of Eden. Eve gave these evil thoughts a place, and they led to her downfall.
Expel every evil thought that enters your mind.
Therefore, since you know the source of all evil thoughts, it is best to expel them as soon as they appear. In fact, you should rebuke them and command them to leave your mind immediately. By doing so, these evil thoughts will disappear, and you will have a clean mind that pleases our Heavenly Father.
