Dear reader, Satan doesn’t want you to focus on the Kingdom of heaven. You are under spiritual attack if your mind wanders during worship.
Your mind is supposed to consentrate on God.
First, during true worship, your mind is supposed to focus on our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. True worship is your total response to the supreme worth, majesty, and holiness of God. It is the reverent submission, profound love, and obedience to God.
Satan doesn’t want you to focus on God.
Since the devil’s kingdom has always opposed God, he doesn’t want you to focus on Him during worship. Demons will always try to divert your attention from our Heavenly Father to something else. Satan’s goal is to distract you and cut off your connection with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Forms of Distraction.
If you worship God with your eyes open, demons will manipulate your mind and your gaze to divert your attention from God to anything that might distract you. For example, instead of focusing on the Kingdom of Heaven, you might find yourself looking at a person in the church congregation. You may observe how that person is dressed, observing their height, weight, or beauty. Such a distraction will cut you off from the heavenly anointing you have received from heaven. Other distractions include reminding you of your past or something completely different that will disconnect you from deep worship.
Close your eyes and focus on Heaven.
It is therefore important, when you worship God, to always close your eyes to avoid any physical distractions. With your eyes closed, focus your mind, soul, and heart on our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. As you do this, you will gradually feel God’s presence enveloping you.
