Dear reader, you need to be careful with the thoughts that come into your life. Every thought that comes into your mind is recorded in Heaven.
Your actions reflect your thoughts.
First, in one of his sermons on earth, our Lord Jesus Christ said that a person’s actions reflect what is on their mind.
Listen to what Jesus said:
34 You brood of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. 35 The good man, from his [inner] good treasure, brings out good things; and the evil man, from his [inner] evil treasure, brings out evil things. 36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless word they speak. 37 For by your words [reflecting your spiritual condition] you will be justified and acquitted of the guilt of sin; and by your words [rejecting Me] you will be condemned and sentenced.”
Matthew 12:34-37
Your thoughts are visible from heaven.
Second, we need to understand that all our thoughts are directly viewed in heaven. When Jesus went to his home city of Capernaum, some of the scribes (teachers of the law) were shocked when Jesus read their evil thoughts before they uttered a single word.
Listen to what happened:
3 Some of the teachers of the law heard what Jesus said. They said to themselves, “What an insult to God for this man to say that!”
4 Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he said, “Why are you thinking such evil thoughts?
Matthew 9:3-4
Since thoughts result into actions, they are recordd in heaven.
Therefore, considering the fact that evil actions are a result of evil thoughts, every thought that comes into your mind is recorded in Heaven.
Implication.
In conclusion, all this implies that we must rid ourselves of every evil thought as soon as it arises. Therefore, we must submit our minds to the control of our Lord Jesus Christ at all times.
