God is your alarm clock.

Dear reader, you may not believe what I am about to tell you, but it is true. I rarely set my clock alarm. Because God has turned out to be my alarm clock.

Since I have always responded to his alarm alerts, God is always waking me up at both his desired times and at my routine required hours.

Another strange thing about this phenomena is that when I do not trust God’s alarms and instead set up my clock alarm, he will wake me up a few minutes before my man-made clock alarm! God always wants to show me that his wake up alarms are more reliable than man’s.

God wakes up birds.

I live in the tropics where there is a lot of both wild and domestic bird life. Ever since I was a small boy I have always been fascinated by the roosters and some wild birds which wake up at night and sing at the precise hours of 3:00 am, 4:00 am, and 5:00 am!

Who wakes up these birds at those specific hours? Do they have clocks in their heads?  It is only when I grew up in the spiritual matters of God’s Kingdom that I realized God himself wakes up these birds to praise and worship him at those specific hours. God always woke up Jesus at those similar hours to pray (Mark 1:35).

Something strange happened.

One night I had woken up and sat near our bed to read Scriptures. For about an hour the whole world was quiet. Then suddenly my attention was drawn to a movement. It was my wife who had come out of deep sleep to change her sleeping position from facing left to face right. Soon after changing her position, she went into deep sleep again.

What amazed me about this movement is that when I looked at the clock, it was exactly 3:00 am! God had woken up my wife to pray at this precise hour though she did not realize it!

I left her to continue sleeping in peace knowing it was God’s, not my responsibility, to train her in such spiritual matters.

Why God wakes up birds to praise him.

God wakes up birds to worship and praise him because most human beings are rebellious. He always wakes up individuals at his desired  specific times but  they refuse getting out of bed!  They do not realize that it is God who has woken them up to praise and worship him, and to pray.

If birds, like human beings, ever become rebellious and stop getting out of sleep to praise God, then our Father in heaven will have no option but command the stones to praise and worship him ( Luke 19:40).

Get out bed.

Next time you abruptly wake up from sleep at night, I advise you to quickly get out of bed and start praising and worshiping God. If you do not have any song, just sing this simple song three times: “Holy, Holy, God Father you are Holy. The whole earth is full of your Glory!” [Isaiah 6:3 and Revelation 4:8].  This simple song will please God. It will bring heaven into your house and will open up heavenly blessings upon your life and family.

If you continually obey God’s wake-up alerts, then be sure you will remain blessed and will never need an alarm clock the rest of your life.
