God needs your invitation.
Dear reader, the Bible says that our bodies are the temples of God (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). If this is so, then why are demons, instead of God, are occupying the bodies of many individuals, including some Christians? The answer is simple; God needs your invitation before he occupies your body. When he comes, demons will flee.
The God I am talking about.
In this article when I talk about God I imply God our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They all work as one person but they will never come into your body, which is God’s temple, by force. You have to invite them first.
When Jesus was teaching us about prayer, he revealed to us how we can invite God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit into our bodies. To do this invitation he instructed that we pray like this everyday:
“Your Kingdom come.” Mathew 6:10
When you invite God’s Kingdom then you are inviting God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, God’s angels and the Heavenly atmosphere to come and take over your body and the place where you are.
Jesus knocks at your life first.
Jesus told us that he cannot come and dwell within you without your permission. He first knocks at the door of your life, and if you invite him, and open the door of your life, he will enter and occupy your body, which is God’s temple. Hear what the Bible says:
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Revelation 3:20
Consequences of failing to invite God.
If you fail to invite God our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit into your body everyday, then Satan and demons may take advantage to occupy your body. Presence of demons within your body will make you bear the fruits of Satan.
Pray before you sleep.
I have found that the most opportune time demons use to enter your body is when you go to sleep. Satan and demons want to control your spirit and soul as you sleep. Therefore, before you go to sleep I advise you to first pray the Lord’s Prayer. Then you pray as follows:
“Father in Heaven, it is written that my body is your Temple. As I go to sleep I invite you, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit to come and dwell within my body. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.”
After this prayer, demons will be afraid of disturbing you as you sleep.
