Dear reader, many Christians take the Lord’s Prayer so lightly. They do not know that there is great power in the Lord’s Prayer.
The Lord’s prayer has so much power that enables you to overcome the Devil. In this article I show you how you can overcome the Devil by using the Lord’s Prayer.
A verse within the Lord’s Prayer that fights the Devil most.
Every verse within the Lord’s Prayer enables you, in one way or another, to overcome the Devil. But there is one particular verse, within the Lord’s Prayer, that fights the Devil most.
This verse goes as follows:
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 6:13
You have to understand this truth first.
Before I show you the weapon in the verse I have mentioned above, you have to understand this fact first. Satan fights Christians by daily accusing them before our Father in Heaven.
Satan will never tempt any Christian except if he first gets permission from our Father in Heaven first. This is the reason the Devil is always accusing many Christians before our Father in Heaven.
The Devil makes these accusations before God so that our Father in Heaven gives him permission to come here on Earth to tempt target Christians.
Every day God gives the Devil very many permits to come here on Earth to tempt Christians. A very good example of such a License is found in Job 1:12. Listen to the license God gave Satan to go and tempt Job:
‘The Lord said to Satan,
“Very well, then, everything he has is in your power,
but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Here is another way of understanding what God was telling Satan.
God was telling the Devil like this:
Very well, then, I have given you permission to destroy everything Job has, except his life.
The Devil used this license from God to kill Job’s seven sons and three daughters. Satan used the same permit from God to destroy Job’s seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred donkeys.
The Devil used the same license from God to kill all Job’s servants.
Here is how you can overcome the Devil using the Lord’s Prayer.
You can prevent the Devil from putting you under temptations by asking our Father in Heaven as follows:
And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]
Mathew 6:13
When you pray daily to God like that, you are telling him as indicated below:
My Father in Heaven,
do not give the Devil permission to come and tempt me.
Please deliver me from the Devil.
In the supernatural vision God gave me, he assured me that if any Christian prays like that, Father in Heaven will deny Satan license to come on Earth and tempt that Christian.
