Dear reader, something will happen when husband and wife get to heaven. They will no longer have the feelings they had while they were still on earth because they will put on new celestial bodies.
Both husband and wife will have neutral feelings towards each other for they will be in a new heavenly world.
Marriage will stop on earth.
The earthly body together with all its feelings of marriage and love affections will be left on earth. As indicated in God’s written word in the Bible, there will be no marriage in heaven (see Mark 12:25):
When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
Therefore, the earthly body with all its feelings will return to dust where it originated.
New heavenly bodies.
When husband and wife reach heaven, they will receive celestial spiritual bodies devoid of any sentimental feelings.
They will have neutral feelings, for they will be like brothers and sisters with heavenly bodies..
Worshipping God.
The new heavenly bodies will have no earthly cravings. Instead the new heavenly bodies will have a great desire to worship God our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Husband and wife should strive to enter heaven.
There will be lots of happiness, hugging and celebrations when husband and wife meet each other in heaven. Wife and husband will have no more sorrows, worries or heartbreaks.
Instead there will be happiness, peace of mind, and eternal heavenly contentment.
For this reason husband and wife should be faithful to each other and walk in a life that pleases God our Father.
They should stay away from sexual immorality, lack of self-control, anger, and other things like these that can prevent them from entering heaven.
In heaven your wife will become your sister.
