Believe me or not, the Devil and demons keep a Bible and they frequently read it. This post shows you why Satan is always reading the Bible.
God always respects His Word.
First, Christians need to know that God always respects his written word in the Bible. In fact, this is the main reason Satan keeps a Bible. The devil knows that Heavenly Father will never violate His written word.
The Devil continually goes before our Father in Heaven. Three Scriptures prove this fact:
Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.
Luke 22:31-32
One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them.
Job 1:6
On another day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them to present himself before him.
Job 2:1
Satan continually accuses Christians before God in Heaven.
Two Bible verses prove this fact:
Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
Job 1:9-10
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
ho accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
Revelation 12:10
Satan uses Bible verses to accuse Christians before God.
During the temptation of Jesus Christ, Satan accurately quoted the following Scriptures:
In Mathew 4:6 Satan accurately quoted Psalm 91:11 accurately when he told Jesus,
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
Still in Mathew 4:6 Satan quoted and Psalm 91:12 accurately when he told Jesus:
They will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
How Satan uses God’s written Word to accuse Christians.
If a Christian sins by stealing, the Devil will go before God asking permission from God to tempt or to put that Christian under trials. Satan will tell God:
Is it not written that ‘Do not steal’? Give us permission to tempt that Christian. We will prove to you he is not your true child.
Out of respect for His Word, God will have no option but give Satan permission to tempt and put that Christian under great trials.
How to overcome Satan’s accusations.
Jesus gave us a solution to Satan’s accusations. Jesus instructed us to overcome by always asking our Father in Heaven not to lead us into temptation. When you ask the Father not to lead you into temptation, He will not give Satan permission to tempt you.
