Dear reader, I was in my third year of salvation and walk with Jesus Christ when God called me to the ministry. The mission God gave me was a direct confrontation with His archenemy Satan. Since I was an immature Christian, there were many things I didn’t know.

One of the things I was not used to was waking up to pray. God knew my weakness and He began to wake me up to pray through supernatural means. In this article, I show you 14 ways God wakes me up to pray.

He sent an angel.

After a busy day, I fell into a deep sleep. I woke up at exactly midnight. I knew God had woken me up to pray but my flesh was so weak. For this reason, I went back to sleep. I had barely slept for ten minutes when I felt someone remove the blanket and sheet from my body!

I woke up thinking a thief had entered my room. It was God’s angel who had done this and he had already left. I knew it was something divine, so I started praying aggressively.

A member of the house wakes up.

At the exact time of my prayer time, I may be woken up by the movement of a family member who has also woken up in his room.

My wife’s movement.

Sometimes, God unintentionally makes my sleeping wife make a movement that wakes me up.

Phone call.

At the exact time of my prayer time, someone calls me. Oddly enough, most of these calls are from someone calling the wrong number!

A text message on phone.

At the exact time of my prayer time, I may be woken up by the sound of an incoming text message on my phone.

Scary dreams.

Often, God uses scary dreams to get me out of bed.

The wind.

Once I was awakened by a strong wind that blew the curtains in my room.

Birds.

Many times, at the time of my prayer, I am awakened by the sound of a bird coming from the trees near my house.

Horn of a vehicle.

Sometimes, at the exact time of my prayer, a vehicle may emit a loud horn near my house.

Choking effect.

Sometimes, at the exact time of my prayer, I may feel like coughing, even though I do not have a cough. God wakes me up using this choking effect.

Abrupt awakening.

Many times, at the exact time of prayer, God makes me wake up abruptly.

Neighborhood noise.

Sometimes, it is the noise of the neighborhood that is made at my prayer time. For example, someone may knock loudly on the door of a neighboring house.

Knocking on my bedroom door.

When I am late waking up at my prayer time, God may use one of my children to come and knock on my bedroom door for some reason or another.

Thunder sound.

When I am late waking up. Sometimes God uses the sound of thunder to get me out of bed.
