Dear reader, have you ever wondered if God has a private life? Here’s how our Heavenly Father spends His free time.
God’s Daily Duties.
First, the scriptures highlight our Heavenly Father on His throne, surrounded by lightning, thunder, and creatures (Revelation 4:2–6). In Job, chapters 1 and 2, God is described as presiding over sessions of the heavenly court. And throughout most of the Bible, God is shown managing human affairs on earth.
Our Heavenly Father Has Moments of Privacy.
Indeed, our Heavenly Father does have moments of privacy. During those times, He is no longer surrounded by the twenty-four elders, the heavenly creatures, or the angels.
What the Lord Showed Me.
Interestingly, my life has been filled with questions about the divine. Thankfully, God has always been gracious enough to reveal answers to these questions. Therefore, one night, as I slept in my bed, the Lord took my spirit, and I found myself before a white door of heaven.
When the door opened, I saw only three persons inside a vast white hall. They were dressed in pure, shining white and were seated on what appeared to be a giant white, cushioned table. One of them was more majestic than the other two and appeared to be the President of the entire universe. What made this atmosphere intimate was that there were no twenty-four elders, no celestial creatures, no lightnings and thunder, no angels, and no cherubim.
What were the three persons doing in heaven?
This intimate moment is characterized by the warmth of family. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit laugh and converse together, enjoying the perfect unity of their nature. They share the heavenly juice drawn from the Tree of Life, a life-giving sustenance from heaven that rejuvenates them, symbolizing their eternal existence.
This sacred and intimate moment reveals that our Heavenly Father is a loving person who delights in His relationship with God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
This is how our Heavenly Father spends His time alone: in perfect love, joy, and eternal fellowship with His Son and the Holy Ghost.
