Dear reader, at one point in your life you may have been very well off. But now everything has vanished. Well, I have some good news for you. I can confidently tell you that if you put your trust in Him, God will restore you – as you are about to see my testimony below.
I lost all my savings.
I had gone to Europe for advanced academic studies and every month I made some savings from the stipend my sponsors sent me. I kept all these savings on my Student’s Bank Account account at the University. After my studies I planned to return to my country immediately after the graduation ceremony.
Back then money transfers across the world were not as easy as they are now. For that reason, on my last day I decided to withdraw all my savings in cash, which I kept in my wallet. After the graduation ceremony I went back to my flats of residence. On checking my trouser back-pocket, I realized that I had lost my wallet – with all my cash savings! For two reasons I gave up searching for that wallet. Being my last day in the U.K I had moved to many places in the city and at the University. Secondly I thought that since my wallet had a lot of cash, finding it would be almost impossible. I was left in tears because of that great loss.
God’s restoration.
God’s wonders never cease. His glory fills the whole earth! Late that evening I got a rare telephone call. “This is the University Police. Report to this Station now” the caller said. For all the time I had been in Europe, I had never been to any Police station. On reaching the Station I introduced myself. The first words the policeman behind the counter told me were: “You are a very lucky man!” Then he pulled out a drawer a well wrapped bulky wallet. “A kind person picked it from the city and brought it here” he said. All my cash savings were intact!
God will restore you.
This is what God is telling you: Scripture Joel 2:25-26
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—
the great locust and the young locust,
the other locusts and the locust swarm[a]—
my great army that I sent among you.
26 You will have plenty to eat, until you are full,
and you will praise the name of the Lord your God,
who has worked wonders for you;
never again will my people be shamed.
