Holiness is required.
Dear reader, have you ever filled in an online form where some fields are marked with a star? You will never submit this type of form without filling in these required fields.
This is how God’s Kingdom is. There are some fields in God’s Kingdom that must be completed before you move on to the next stage. One of these fields is holiness.
Holiness was required of Moses.
When God appeared to Moses in the burning bush, the first thing he mentioned after calling Moses’s name was holiness. God wanted Moses to first remove his dirty lifestyle before business with God began (Exodus 3:5).
Holiness sets you apart from the world.
In the spirit world, there is a way Satan and demons differentiate Christians from other people. True Christians are identified by their white robes provided as a result of their holiness through Jesus Christ.
God himself is holy.
One of the main reasons why we must pursue holiness is that God himself is holy. If we are God’s temple, and God is supposed to live in us, then we must be holy. When you opt for a sinful lifestyle like Samson did, then the Holy Spirit will flee from you.
Holiness gives you power.
If you want to become very powerful spiritually, then you must pursue holiness. It will give you supernatural power and authority to cast out Satan and demons. When you opt for a sinful life, demons will laugh at you when you try to cast them away.
Holiness required in Heaven.
If you are aiming at living in heaven after your earthly life, then you must pursue holiness.
Three ways of acquiring holiness.
If you have already received Jesus as your Lord and savior, the first thing you must do is to hate sin in all its forms. Secondly pursue righteousness by reading and living according to God’s written Word in the Bible.
Thirdly, live a life of repentance. This is why Jesus instructed us always to ask our Father in heaven as follows:
“Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who wrong us” Luke 11:4
