Dear reader, Job was not aware that he was being accused by Satan in heaven. To stop Satan’s attacks, Job only needed to pray this Bible verse.

Job was unaware of the existence of God’s heavenly court.

First, the story of Job is often read as a simple tale of suffering, yet it hides a profound spiritual reality: Job was entirely unaware of the heavenly courtroom drama determining his fate. In the opening chapters, Satan stands before God, accusing Job of serving Him only for blessings.
Job, however, sees only the loss of his children, wealth, and health. Like many Christians today who feel overwhelmed by sudden trials, Job lacked the insight that Satan was active behind the scenes, attempting to prove that a human would curse God under pressure.

Job was not aware that his suffering was caused by Satan.

Because Job did not know about this spiritual confrontation, he often blamed God, or perceived his hardships as God attacking him directly. He did not know that Satan had requested and received temporary, limited permission to test him. As a result, Job was not aware of the specific accusations leveled against his character.

This is how Job would have prayed.

The tragedy of Job’s situation is that he didn’t realize he could have contested this spiritual legal proceeding. While Job was a righteous man, he was not perfect. Had Job, in his daily rituals, prayed with the foresight of Luke 11:4:

“Father, forgive me my sins as I have forgiven those who have sinned againt me. And lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from all evil.”

—he might have invoked a protective barrier against the Accuser.

God would have stopped Satan.

If Job had prayed specifically to be delivered from the accusations and the temptation that followed, God, who is just and merciful, would have forgiven him. Had Job’s heart been cleansed through such focused prayer, God likely would not have granted Satan the permission to destroy his possessions and torment his flesh.
Job’s suffering highlights that while God is sovereign, Satan seeks to legally accuse believers to gain access to their lives. The story teaches that righteousness requires vigilant prayer to block the accusations that lead to trials.

Christians must be aware of the existence of the heavenly court.

In conclusion, Christians today must be aware of the existence of the heavenly court, as well as Satan’s accusations. They should recite the Lord’s Prayer daily, especially Luke 11:4, to protect themselves from Satan’s attacks.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
