Dear reader, you may find some difficulty believing this, but it is true. Recently, in one of his meetings, Satan was in a very angry mood. The Devil issued a directive to all his principalities, rulers, authorities, and all his collaborators, never to mention a specific name when he is around.
Satan’s punishment to anyone mentioning this name.
The Devil has sworn to kill anyone of his subjects who mentions this name in his presence.
Some demons asked Satan a question.
“Sir, what happens when the name you are talking about is mentioned in your presence?” asked some of the senior demons in this meeting.
“To be honest with you,” replied Satan, “when that name is mentioned in my presence I first feel a lot headache, followed by nausea. Then I totally black out. Usually I don’t know what happens in the next ten minutes after my fainting”.
Some courageous demons asked Satan another question.
Some courageous principalities, rulers, and authorities in this meeting asked the Devil another question:
“Sir, what is that name you are talking about?”
The Devil was very angry with all the demons that asked this question. He pointed at them with his long finger and said:
“It is the name of That Man. Next time you ask me such a question, I will kill all of you”
With this severe warning from the Devil, no demon could dare ask him another question. The meeting had to end abruptly, as Satan swiftly walked away.
The Name Satan is talking about.
Dear reader, at this point you may be wondering what name the Devil is talking about. It is actually the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Satan falls down every time the name of Jesus Christ is mentioned in his presence. This happens to fulfill what is written in the Scriptures that:
“For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus [a]every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
